HAMISH

Hamish is our mischievous little miniature shetland he may be little but his personality is anything but! Hamish loves getting up to no good but is a friendly little chap who loves a good scratch and a cuddle (he'll most definitely check your pockets for treats first though!)

DUCHESS

Duchess is a nine year old cob mare with one of the kindest, quietest natures you could ever find. She would stand all day to be groomed and fussed over and just loves people she'd do anything for a polo mint!

GUS

Gus is an incredibly special little pony. He is an old man now but dont let him hear you say that, he still has plenty life in him yet and he'll sure show the younger ponies he's the boss. Gus has semi retired from ridden work now and so we are very lucky to be able to enjoy spending time with him for EquiLEarn sessions. He has a very kind gentle nature with children and is our go to pony for anyone who is a bit nervous.

Jay is the most wonderful old soul he absolutely loves nothing more than a good scratch and he'll even go as far as showing you exactly where he likes it! Hes a fabulous communicator and is dubbed the BFG by our young people as hes exactly that a big friendly giant!

Hi i'm Jaymee

As the Project Manager and founder of Edinburgh EquiLearn CIC, I am deeply passionate about the powerful role horses can play in supporting emotional wellbeing, social development, and confidence building.

I lead our group programmes and community engagement work, creating inclusive and supportive spaces where individuals can connect, grow, and thrive through meaningful interactions with horses. My work is driven by a belief in the unique, therapeutic bond between humans and horses, and the positive impact this can have on people from all walks of life.

Hi, I’m Becky!

I’m the 1-to-1 Wellbeing Services Manager at Edinburgh EquiLearn. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work, and I’ve been working with horses for over 8 years, helping people learn and grow through equine-assisted activities.

I’ve loved horses for as long as I can remember! I think they are amazing partners who can help us feel safe, build confidence, and learn how to communicate better with others.

A few fun facts about me:
I love playing guitar and singing.
My favourite colour is purple.
And my favourite song is Hakuna Matata from the Lion King and if you mention it, I will likely burst into song!
